Over 15 years serving artists.

Mad Oak Studios has been providing audio recording services to the music communities of Boston and beyond for over fifteen years. The studio was born of the concept that every artist should have access to a world-class recording facility in which to realize his/her/their vision, and that philosophy has guided our practices through many hundreds of projects spanning virtually every genre and budget.

We welcome musicians and artists from any background, and strive to work within any budget. Please contact us to discuss the details of your project.  We'd love to hear from you and we'll do our best to accommodate you!

World-class studio design.

Our spacious and comfortable control room was designed by the world-renowned Walters-Storyk Design Group and provides accurate monitoring with a massive variety of outboard gear, all built around our centerpiece 32-channel API console. We are well-equipped for both analog and digital tracking and mixing, boasting a variety of tape machines and recording/mixdown formats as well as a great-sounding Pro Tools rig.

Our client areas and amenities include a large, comfortable lounge with high-speed wifi, a kitchen with food prep facilities, on-site vending, and our very own Mad Oak Roasters nitro cold brew coffee on tap!

State-of-the art facilities.

Every aspect of the studio was designed to facilitate the quick, creative, and efficient creation of music and sound. We boast a variety of acoustically-diverse recording spaces, so your engineer can perfectly match the room to the source. In addition to our large main room, we also offer three isolated recording areas and a fourth space that can be variably-isolated, for as much or as little separation as the project demands.

And we're well-stocked with a variety of instruments and amps, plus a wealth of stompboxes and other interesting noise-makers, so you can best-realize your tones from the most important part of the signal chain: the source!
